When it comes to stock level management, Stock&Buy keeps track of three inventory handling concepts:
Total Stock Quantity
The total quantity is the stock count present in your warehouse, this includes allocated and available stock (see the definitions below)
Allocated Stock Quantity
The allocated stock quantity is the count of all items present in your warehouse which are reserved to open sale orders.
Note: Open sale orders are those which have their status set to either Allocated or Invoiced.

Allocated stock, also known as committed or reserved stock is a handy concept and a safeguard to overselling your products.
Note: The Allocated Stock report ( under the Analytics page shows all allocated items at present time.
Available Stock Quantity
The available stock quantity is the count of all items present in your warehouse which are available for sale.
Available Stock = Total Stock Quantity - Allocated Stock Quantity
